We hope this email finds you well and that you are thriving in this new year! We have had a great start to the 2023 new year, and we’re excited to share some highlights with you. This January we launched our V4 upgrade: the Historacle, reached $5M in protocol Total Liquidity, and so much more! Here's a recap of everything that’s been happening:
V4 Upgrade:
- Our team has successfully upgraded the Umee blockchain to V4, marking the launch of the Historacle
- The Historacle is the most innovative oracle function in the space that enables Umee to list smaller cap tokens for lending and borrowing while maintaining our highest standards of safety and security.
- The Historacle is a Cosmos-first price oracle is the first ever Smart Oracle solution that brings business logic into on chain price feeds to prevent manipulation. This protects our protocol from malicious traders looking to manipulate prices.
$5M in Total Liquidity (TL):
- We are thrilled to report that our TL has reached $5M, being one of the fastest growing blockchains in the Cosmos ecosystem!
Adora NFT Launch:
- In partnership with Cosmos spaces, we launched 1000 Adora NFTs.
- The Adora NFTs sold out almost immediately, and ranked in the top 5 of Stargaze for volume!
Ojo Testnet:
- Our first Testnet is our price oracle living as its own blockchain. The price feeder generates true, manipulation-proof data for the safest, on-chain prices of Cosmos IBC assets.
- This testnet allows Ojo to prove that validators can pull the price, and relay that information to other chains, a first for the Cosmos ecosystem!
Into the Umeeverse:
- Our team had the pleasure of hosting Chjango and the Interchain.fm team; as well as Comsos pioneer Zaki Manian, and CEO of Agoric, Dean Tribble! It was fantastic having them, and we are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented individuals in the cosmos ecosystem!
Yieldmos Integration:
- With the integration of Yieldmos’ tech, you can now auto-compound your #Umee staking rewards for an extra 5% APY; that’s a 15% increase in total staking rewards YoY!
Media Coverage:
- Our CEO, Brent Xu, was featured in CNBC, Barron’s & Yahoo Finance for his opinion on the state of crypto as a whole, bringing more awareness to the Umee community!
